First, it’s a TV trope; one which I relate to as, like most women, I am usually judged based on my appearance. Honestly, though, I would have chosen “Brawn Hilda” as my handle if I’d known of it before I established Cute Bruiser. :(

I think that politics and multimedia are very closely tied, and that a lot can be learned by paying attention to both. I will use this Tumblr to repost interesting videos, essays, and other media I find interesting or thought provoking; maybe you’ll find it interesting, too. I’ve also been known to talk about Illuminati conspiracy, so watch out for that as well.

I am a white, feminism-practising, mostly heteroromantic demisexual, cisgender, able-bodied, fat, 20-something female with cyclothymia (mild bipolar disorder) and delayed sleep phase syndrome residing in the Pacific-Northwest with my BFFL in a platonic Boston marriage and a menagerie of animals. I grew up in a working class single parent family and was a bit of a child prodigy when I was younger; unfortunately, I did everything I could to squander that opportunity.
